In all your ways.

I’ve been inspired yet overwhelmed by what God walks us through, yet I believe it’s God’s direction. Thankfully we only need to submit to the responsibility that God has resourced us with. It’s the reality of having God that helps us,  in the face of acknowledging our lack,  to hear His promises. The deeper we go the greater trust is needed. I feel stretched but I know God is faithful, even when I get it wrong.

Pro 3:6  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

Ways – deh’-rek  – a road (as trodden); figuratively a course of life or mode of action, often adverbially: – along, away, because of, + by, conversation, custom, [east-] ward, journey, manner, passenger, through, toward, [high-] [path-] way [-side], whither [-soever].

Straight – yaw-shar –  A primitive root; to be straight or even; figuratively to be (causatively to make) right, pleasant, prosperous: – direct, fit, seem good (meet), + please (well), be (esteem, go) right (on), bring (look, make, take the) straight (way), be upright (-ly).

I feel that embracing a sacrificial relationship with others is part of God’s way. Sometimes these relationships will be stretched and uncomfortable. Sometimes we will have to die that others might live, it’s God’s way. Yet the glory God gives as we surrender.

God is faithful

Hope does not disappoint. If God was faithful to send a whale for Jonah when he was on purpose going the wrong way, how much more if we are seeking Him. It’s not the sacrifice we put our hope in but God to be merciful.

I’m saying all this acknowledging relationships and emotions will be stretched. It’s not the details God wants us to focus on but the way we do it, full of mercy.

God desires mercy not sacrifice

Yes we will be stretched, yes we have shortcomings that will need to be overlooked, yes we will need loads of mercy, yes God can stir hearts to go beyond, yes he will do it even if it takes a whale, yes I’m choosing to believe God is in this and will provide everything needed in and around us to make this possible in spite of the stretching.

In the very way we do things we will see His kingdom come, knowing He’s with us and we will not be overcome.

So my answer is yes Lord.
