The true flow of breakthrough

I have experienced breakthrough. This is great and we love these experiences. What I’m aware of is that if I don’t understand what happened and why I can lose it or any possibility of breakthrough increasing or helping others to break through.

It’s just not God’s intention for us to just have breakthrough. He desires that we would know why and be able to live it out with Him and others to learn by our experiences with God.

Who are these breakthroughs for? Are they for us to just to be able to not sin? Why has God given you this breakthrough? We can comfort others with the comfort or breakthrough we have been given.

2Co 1:4  who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

So what comfort have we been given, what was our breakthrough and why. If we miss the why something happened then the experience is just an experience. Imaging if how breakthrough comes and in whom breakthrough comes from becomes an active part of your life. Imagine knowing what touches God’s heart and how to walk with Him. Imagine being able to live in a way that was full of the favor of God. Grace

The “Whys” I’ve received

Let me share some of the why breakthroughs have come that I have experienced. For years I wondered why freedom would leave and I would find myself struggling where once I found freedom. The reality was the harder I tried to be free the worse I got. Why?

Zec 4:6  So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.

We have heard and experienced the reality of this but why? God says I desire mercy not sacrifice, why? We need to know why so we can walk in freedom and please God. We can please God and the key is depending on and loving Him, but what does this mean.

Let’s start with depending on God

What does depending have to do with breakthrough. Don’t we have to be strong to be victorious? Don’t we know who we are and out authority to release God’s kingdom? Yes. But this only comes through surrender. The reality is when we depend on Him His victory on the cross flows in our lives. Everything He does is to bring us closer to Him and the reality of Him in our lives.

This depending on Him is true humility, without it we would become proud. This would be disastrous and result in us failing to receive the freedom He paid for us. But dependence isn’t feeling powerless but knowing God and His love for us. This knowing we are loved is so key. No matter how much you try to depend on someone if you don’t trust them you will undermine their support. If this support is the only answer then allowing them to help is essential. Doing it ourselves will just undermine the free gift. Breakthrough always needs God’s involvement, we need God and we need to trust that He will come through for us when we seek Him.

Heb 11:6  And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Now we have loving God

This is similar to the first, though transforms the motivation. Those that are in love and know they are loved can more naturally surrender and be vulnerable to one another. Even those in love can still have this surrender undermined, this is why God speaks of perfect love.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us.
1Jn 4:18-19

We can’t stay in this place of breakthrough without love. We will make a mistake and respond with fear. This fear will cause us to respond with blame and shame and draw us hide or try harder our self. This response is in complete conflict with His support to bring further breakthrough and living with Him. It is His grace that leads us in triumph.

We have to see it’s love and grace that God does what He does. If we don’t see this we won’t respond to others in love. We will respond to others to the measure we judge ourselves. It’s God’s favour that transforms our life’s and those in our lives. God gives an increase of grace and mercy to the measure we give grace and mercy. The effect of God’s favour in our life will bring continuous breakthrough.

Mat 6:14  “For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

God’s forgiveness brings breakthrough of every kind. There is no punishment if there is forgiveness. There is healing if there is forgiveness. The revelation of God’s perfect love brings the revelation of our identity as His children.

And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.
